Diwali Muhurat Trading 2022
Diwali is said to be an auspicious festival that fills a year with prosperity and brings success to your doorstep. Likewise, according to the Hindu tradition, Muhurat Trading during Diwali is one of the beliefs to be an auspicious time to trade, which is aligned favorably to ensure positive results.
It is believed that trading on the day of Diwali brings in wealth and prosperity throughout the year. An auspicious beginning is thus made on the first day of the year.
Therefore, marking the beginning of the Hindu accounting calendar year Samvat 2079, stock exchanges BSE and NSE will conduct the once-in-a-year Diwali Muhurat trading on Monday from 6:15 to 7:15 pm.

Note:
- Settlements: Stocks bought on Friday, 21st Oct can’t be sold on Monday 24th Oct during Muhurat trading hours as the settlement of this stocks will happen on Thursday, 27th Oct 2022 (For stocks with settlement cycle of T+2) and Tuesday, 25th Oct 2022 (For stocks with settlement cycle of T+1)
- VTT orders will be placed in the market if triggered.
- Stock SIP orders will be placed at 6:30 pm.
- All the intraday trade positions will be squared off at 7 PM.
- The After-Market Hours window will be open back at 8 PM.
- Fund withdrawal will not be processed on 24th and 26th Oct in view of bank holidays.
