Recently, 5paisa mobile app crossed 5 Million downloads. Therefore, I would like to begin by thanking each one of you for making 5paisa mobile app the highest downloaded app in the broking industry. We started our journey with a ‘mobile first’ strategy and these milestones serve as great vote of confidence that our efforts are in the right direction.
Today 5paisa offers a power packed investment experience on a single app from account opening to trading to portfolio management to reporting. Not just this, we have also made available value added products like advanced research, mutual funds, insurance, gold, and loans on the same app, thereby, simplifying management of your investments.
I feel that this is the primary reason as why 90% of our customers choose to trade via app over website. However, our work has just begun. With the rapid evolution of technologies even within the trading world and also the feedback that you keep sending us, we have been upgrading the app features almost every month.
In line with the same objective, we have launched the new version of android app- version 3.3. I personally believe that this version will enhance the trading experience of our 5 million app users by leaps and bounds. It’s more agile and powerful, has new user interface and will have new value added features for you. I would also like to add that within a month’s time we will follow up this version with another upgrade that will further be packed with a host of exciting features all aimed at giving you an immersive trading experience.
So let me walk you through the new features introduced as a part of version 3.3.
Brand new Watchlist
We have given a complete makeover to the watchlist. It is now cleaner, has more information and has feature like microcharts (I have explained these below). You can also swipe between multiple watchlists and every stock on your watchlist will now have 5 quick access buttons i.e. stock information, charts, best 5 bids, buy and sell. In case of Futures and Options, you can now go straight to the option chain screen from your watchlist.
Micro Charts
The new microchart gives you the ability to smartly track intraday movement of the stocks you have in your watchlist. These micro charts give a snapshot of stock movement of the entire trading day right there when you open the app. In a simple glance you can get the pulse of the market movement for the entire day.
Stock Info Button ( ‘i’ ) <put I icon here>
You can now click on info button ( ‘i’) of any stock and access the complete fundamentals of that scrip in a single click. This comprises of comprehensive information- company details, , financials, peer comparison, latest news and also research reports. That’s not it, each stock carries a master score which is made on a patented CANSLIM methodology of legendary and billionaire investor Mr William O’Neil.
Advanced Charts
Charts are one of the most widely used functionalities of 5paisa app and have been a focal point of this version. You can now access charts powered with a cleaner interface maximising your plot area, a drawing toolbar equipped with new tools and the ability to share your charts as an image with your friends. That’s not it, we have also added 3 pre-saved views that give you intraday, short-term and long-term BUY / SELL signals based on indicators that are added on to the chart when you select them. You can now also move the Y-axis to either side of the screen and move the studies along the height of the screen. Another enhancement is that the Buy and Sell buttons on the chart no longer take you to another screen and you can place orders without losing sight of your charts.
Simplified Ledger and Funds Section
This was a long standing demand from you. Lot of our customers are at the beginning of their investment journey and not familiar with technical trading terminologies. They were facing challenge in understanding ledger and available margin. We have simplified the ledger and funds section to ensure easy comprehension of the ledger entries and that of the calculation for available margin to trade.
Revamped order book and net position
Our order book had 2 sections i.e. Orders and Trades. We have merged both these sections. An Order book will now have tabs to check pending, completed, cancelled and all orders. We have also modified sort and filter options for you to be able to custom view as per your choice.
