Voluntary Freeze and Unfreeze of Trading Account

We are pleased to inform you about a new facility that allows you to voluntarily freeze and unfreeze your trading account as per your convenience. This is in line with the recent regulatory guidelines Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/POD-1/P/CIR/2024/4 dated January 12, 2024, and Exchange Circular No. NSE/INSP/60277 dated January 16, 2024 aimed at enhancing the security and flexibility of your trading activities.

How to Freeze Your Account:

  1. Via Email:
    • Send an email from your registered email ID to stoptrade@5paisa.com.
    • A ticket will be created, and your request will be processed within 15 min. You will receive a confirmation email once your account is freezed.
  1. Via Application/Web:
    • Go to the "My Profile" section in our app or website.
    • Select "Freeze My Account" and verify the request using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
    • Validate the OTP and submit the request.
    • Upon validation, your account will be freezed, and you will receive a confirmation on your registered email id.

  Following will be effective upon successful Freezing of your trading account.

1. Your account will be restricted from all trading activities, meaning you can only square off open positions by calling our dealing desk at 89766 89766.
2. All your pending order(s) will be cancelled.
3.
Fresh online order placement / trading will not be permitted while the account is freezed.

How to Unfreeze Your Account:

    • Send an email request to stoptrade@5paisa.com from your registered email ID.
    • Upon validation of your registered email and necessary due diligence, your account will be unfreezed and you will receive a confirmation email on your registered email id.
