How to open a joint Demat account with 5paisa?

To open a joint demat account with 5Paisa, you are required to submit an offline application.

Specifications for Opening a Joint Demat Account

In a joint demat account, there can be a maximum of 3 account holders which includes the primary account holder as well. Further, there can be only 1 trading account opened per individual. However, an individual can open multiple demat accounts with ease.

In order to open a demat account, here are the documents which you will have to submit offline:


  • Download the Account Opening Form (AOF) of 5Paisa. If you cannot find it, you can request an AOF at support@5paisa.com
  • All holders of the joint demat account need to submit passport-size photographs for the application. 
  • A copy of the PAN card with a self-attested signature along with a copy of the Aadhar card, and address proof for all joint holders.
    • For address proof, you can submit a copy of an Aadhar, driving license, passport, or voter ID. 
    • Since all the information will be sent to the primary account holder in the joint account, make sure to fill in the address of the primary account holder only.


  • A copy of bank account proof is also needed with the primary account holder's name. The proof can be any of the below-mentioned ones:
    • A cancelled cheque with your name printed on it.
    • Your bank statement
    • Your bank passbook with the name of the account holder, bank logo, IFSC code, and MICR which must be visible.

Additional Requirements

If you want to trade in F&O, you will be required to submit income proof as well. Here are the documents that you can submit as income proof with 5Paisa:


  • Last 6 months Bank statement
  • Your latest salary slip
  • ITR acknowledgement
  • Form 16 with gross annual income
  • Certificate of net worth
  • Statement of Demat holdings with minimum 1 holding

 

Once you have collected all the documents, you will have to email their soft copies to support@5paisa.com. Upon successfully receiving the documents, our team will review them and if any corrections are needed, you will be informed about it via email only. After getting your documents successfully reviewed, courier the documents to our head office.
