What are script-wise threshold limits in MTF ?

To strengthen risk controls and ensure a more stable trading environment, we have introduced Script-wise Threshold Limits in MTF (Margin Trading Facility). 


What does this mean? 

Each eligible MTF stock will now have a predefined maximum exposure threshold. Once the threshold for a particular stock is reached, fresh MTF positions in that stock may be restricted until the exposure falls within the permitted limit. 


Why have we introduced this? 

 Enhanced risk management 
 Improved management of concentration risk 
 Sustainable availability of MTF funding 


What should you know? 

·      Existing MTF positions remain unaffected. 

·      Restrictions apply only when a stock’s MTF exposure reaches the defined threshold. 

·     You can continue trading other eligible MTF stocks as usual. 

 This enhancement is aimed at creating a safer and more efficient MTF ecosystem for all traders and investors.
