Post-Closing Session:
· Timing: Runs from 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM on both NSE and BSE.
· Order Types: Only market orders are allowed for the equity segment during this session.
· Product Code: Orders are available for equity alone, using the CNC (Cash and Carry) product code.
· Order Placement: Clients can place buy or sell orders in the equity delivery segment at market price.
· Execution: Market orders are executed at the closing price of the regular trading session.
· Example: For instance, if the closing price of Reliance at 3:30 PM is ₹800, a market order placed between 3:40 PM and 4:00 PM will execute at ₹800.
· Activity Level: The post-market session is less active compared to regular trading hours.
· Market Depth: Stock movements can be tracked by viewing market depth from 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM.
