Pre-Open Session:
· This session occurs before the regular trading hours and is designed to set opening prices and reduce volatility.
· It begins at 09:00 hours, allowing investors to enter or modify their orders until 09:08 hours, with a random closure at the last minute.
· The pre-open order matching process starts immediately after the close of the pre-open order entry, determining the opening prices for stocks.
Regular Trading Session:
· The regular trading session is the main trading period where most of the buying and selling activity takes place.
· It commences at 09:15 hours and continues until 15:30 hours, providing ample time for investors to execute their trades in the equities market.
Closing Session:
· This session occurs after the regular trading hours, between 15:40 hours and 16:00 hours.
· It allows for the final adjustments and closing orders to be placed, ensuring smooth market closure.
After Market Order (AMO):
· The AMO facility enables investors to place orders to buy or sell stocks for the next day's trading before the market opens.
· Investors can utilise this service from 4:30 PM to 8:50 AM on the following trading day, especially if they are unable to actively monitor the market during regular trading hours.
Please note:
· Trading on the equities segment is available on all days of the week except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays declared by the Exchange in advance.
· The Exchange reserves the right to modify trading hours or close/open the market on days other than scheduled holidays based on various factors such as market conditions and regulatory requirements.
· Additionally, there are certain constraints on the limit for placing orders in the Currency/Derivative segment, which may change over time to safeguard the interests of investors and minimise risks.
