What does KYC/KRA status mean, and how to check it?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a mandatory regulatory process that verifies your identity and basic details before opening a trading and Demat account. 5paisa handles the KYC verification during your account opening process. 
KRA (KYC Registration Agency) is a central repository that stores your KYC information. A successful KYC registration is essential to open a new trading account. You

can check your KYC status using the following steps:

1.    Visit cvlkra.com.

2.    Click on "KYC Inquiry."

3.    Enter your PAN number, complete the captcha, and click "Submit."

Understanding the KYC status results:

·       Validated/Registered Your KYC information is successfully registered.

 

·       Under Process Your recently updated KYC information is being processed by the KRAs. It may take up to 5 working days to reflect the updated status.

 

·       On Hold or Rejected There might be discrepancies in your KYC details from a previous broker. 5paisa can handle rectification and might request additional documents if needed. The updation process can take up to 5 working days.
