What happens if I submit the strategy after market hours via Smart Strategies?
Once you submit
strategies after market hours, the following occur:
- Activation Your strategy will become active the
following day at 9:15 am, and it will assume you're logged in to Smart
Strategies. If you're not logged in at that time, the strategy will then
activate upon your next login.
- Order Placement Once your strategy is active, it will
automatically place orders based on the entry and exit conditions defined by
you.
- Market Orders If your strategy includes "market
orders" for entry, the trades will then be executed immediately upon the
market opening at 9:15 am.
Note: After-hours
submission means your strategy might miss favourable entry opportunities that
could occur before the 9:15 am market opening.
