What is a Client Master Report (CMR) /CML, and how to get it?

A client master report (CMR) copy is also known as a client master list (CML) copy. It is a document issued by the depository participant (DP) of your demat account. CMR is a digitally signed PDF document issued by the respective broker. It acts as a certificate containing details about your demat account, such as:

 

Demat account ID

Date of birth

Bank details
 Nomination details

 

A CMR copy is required at the time of transferring stocks from your demat account at 5paisa to another broker. Moreover, in some cases CMR copy helps in modifying Demat Participant (DP) account details.
