What is ASM?

The Additional Surveillance Measure (ASM) is a collaborative effort between the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and stock exchanges to bolster market integrity and protect investors' interests. Specific criteria decide if stocks are in the ASM category. The criteria are in the  NSE FAQ (PDF) at the link below. ASM categorizes stocks into two segments: long-term ASM and short-term ASM.
