What are the reasons for my account being classified as dormant?

According to Exchange guidelines, your trading and Demat account is classified as dormant if there has been no transaction or trading activity for over 365 days. When an account is deemed dormant, it necessitates deactivation for security and compliance reasons.

Reactivation Process:

If your account has been marked as dormant, you can use our online facility to reactivate it within 365 days from the date it was classified as dormant. This process is straightforward and can be completed quickly through our online portal.

After 365 Days:

If your account remains dormant beyond 365 days, you must undergo an offline process, including Re-KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This is a mandatory procedure to ensure the security and authenticity of your account.

Steps for Re-KYC:

1. Download the KYC Application Form: Obtain the form from our website.

2. Submit Required Documents: Email the completed KYC form and a scanned copy of your PAN card, address proof, and signature to support@5paisa.com.

3. Verification Process: Our team will verify your documents, make necessary updates, and reactivate your account.

The turnaround time for reactivating your account is approximately 48 hours after successful KYC verification. Please note that this period may extend depending on the response from the Exchange.

Stay Active:

To avoid your account being marked as dormant, ensure regular transactions or trading activity within your account.

For any assistance or queries regarding the reactivation process, feel free to reach out to our support team. We are here to help you keep your trading and Demat account active and secure.
